Matt Kutilek, a member of Team Bicycle Gallery, will try his luck at the “Dirty Kanza” again this year. The Dirty Kanza is a 200-mile endurance race held in Emporia, Kansas and has an elevation gain of near 12,000 feet. At the bottom of the article is the GPX data for the course in 2014.
Last year, Matt finished at about 13h23m and averaged 16.2 mph. According to his Strava page for the race, he had an EPIC suffer score of 582, an output of 11.1 kiloJoules, and an average power rating of 241 watts. That’s basically technical jargon to let you know the man put his body and mind to work! See his STRAVA Dirty Kanza 2014 page here.
Matt has worked extremely hard to get to where he is physically and mentally and we wish him luck today at the 2015 Dirty Kanza!
